Since 2012, through our Children’s Ministry, we have sponsored 60-70 children a year to attend school here in Binh Chau, Tan Thang, and Suoi Bang, Vietnam. We meet with each child’s parents or grandparents to emphasize the importance of an education for their children (in rural areas such as these, many children drop out of school early to go to work to help support the family). We explain we will seek to find a school sponsor for their child/children if they will encourage their children to attend our Children’s Church on Saturday evening.
We thank each of our school sponsors for giving these children the opportunity for a better life through education. Each school sponsorship provides each child’s registration fees, books, school supplies, school uniforms, and health insurance. The cost for these items is $125 per school year.
Most of the children are also required to take mandatory tutoring classes after school or in the evening. These tutoring classes have to be paid by the parents, with an average cost of $25-$30 per month for the 9 month school year.
This presents 2 opportunities to support our School Sponsorship Program:
(1) Sponsor a child for a school year by providing $125 for their registration fees, school
books, school supplies, school uniforms, and health insurance.
or
(2) Provide funds to support the mandatory tutoring classes they are required to take.
God has rewarded our focus on children’s education by giving us favor with the local officials as they see the number of children being registered for school by the Binh Chau Church. But more importantly, in receiving the blessing of making a difference in a child’s life now (and for all eternity). To God be the glory!
Please pray about helping one of these precious children receive an education. If God puts it in your heart to help, please visit our donation page, stating your contribution is for our School Sponsorship Program.
Thank you for your support, and most of all, we ask you pray for these precious children, We have had several recently graduate from high school, one from college, and three are now attending college. Cam On Chua! (Thank you Jesus)!
