VBS CAMP 2026 UPDATE
We praise God and thank each of you who sponsored your children from previous years to attend our VBS Camp again this summer. We still have 17 children who still need sponsors. Of this group, 7 also qualify for our school sponsorship program too ($275, includes VBS Camp, the coming school year, a birthday gift and a Christmas gift). The cost for the remaining 10 children to attend VBS Camp only is $75 each. Please help us to show and share the love of Jesus to these precious children by sponsoring one or more. Please send your checks to our home address or give online at jesusinvietnam.com. For those of you led to sponsor a child/children, we would appreciate an email telling us so we might update how many children still to seek sponsors for.
VBS CAMP TRAINING
Quang and his wife Nhu Y recently attended a 3-day training class in Saigon at an ECV church (picture above). Several hundred people attended from many ECV churches. They were introduced and trained in the curriculum to be used in this year’s summer VBS Camps, including ours at the Binh Chau church.
PRAY FOR MR. BA PHUOC
We have asked you to pray for Mr. Ba Phuoc (an elder in the Binh Chau church) many times in the past and he’s in need of prayer one more time. He was admitted to the hospital again for high blood pressure/heart issues. Please pray God will give him complete healing and comfort him and his family as He leads them through this season.
PRAYER REQUESTS
Plans for our upcoming VBS Camp this June 22-25th are well underway. ECV will provide some of the teachers this year, along with a team to lead Worship. Please join us in praying for 70 or more children to attend this year and God will draw many non-believers to attend this year, open up their hearts to understand the Gospel, and pray to ask Jesus into their heart.
We plan on making several visits to the Montagnard village of Tanh Linh this summer. Please pray God will give us favor with everyone we meet and many Divine appointments to share the Gospel.
Please continue to pray God will provide a Vietnamese missionary or missionary couple to move to Tanh Linh to become part of the community, show the love of Jesus, and start to disciple the many new believers there (over 120 in the last 3 years through our VBS Camps and Christmas Outreaches).
Please continue to pray God will grant us wisdom and discernment this summer as we take the next steps in this transition to the Evangelical Church Vietnam. May we be guided by the Holy Spirit in each and every decision to be made.
Over the last 15 years we have started 3 Bible studies in 3 different homes in Suoi Bang (a farming community about 15 miles from Binh Chau) only to have Satan bring disruption as we grew in numbers and end them. We still pickup children from Suoi Bang each Saturday for Children’s Church and about 10 people on Sunday morning for Sunday Worship Service. We have asked one of theses ladies, Mrs. Ha, to pray about hosting a weekly Bible study in her home. Please join us in praying God will touch Mrs. Ha’s heart to open up her home so more people in Suoi Bang can hear the good news of the Gospel and be discipled through studying His Word.
Jesus in Vietnam Ministries, is a compassion ministry founded by Dennis and Mai Spencer. Vietnamese families suffer from deprivation, lacking sometimes even the necessities of life. In obedience to the many Scriptural commands to help the poor they are enabling families to survive in difficult circumstances. When shown mercy these families are very receptive to the Gospel. The Spencer’s also focus on children, who are the future church of Jesus Christ in Vietnam.
