EASTER SERVICES
Even though this is our March newsletter, we wanted to share with you some of the Easter events at the Binh Chau Church. In lieu of our Wednesday Prayer Service and Friday night small group Bible study, Pastor Thien held a Maundy Thursday Service. We praise the Lord as we had 69 people in attendance. Easter Sunday was also attended by almost 70 people. Both the youth and adult choirs performed followed by a wonderful message given by Pastor Thien. Those in attendance were then treated to a delicious fellowship meal prepared by Loan, our orphanage housemother. The congregation has really embraced Pastor Thien and his wife Bao Lien. We were able to talk to them on Zoom two weeks ago and they came across as being very humbled and blessed to serve the Lord at the Binh Chau Church. We are very much looking forward to meeting them in person next month on our return to Vietnam.
VBS CAMP TRAINING
Quang and his wife Nhu Y recently attended a one day training class in Vung Tau (about 30 miles from Binh Chau). Pastor Hung, who we introduced you to in our last newsletter as a leader in the Evangelical Church Vietnam, taught for the whole day on how to hold a VBS Camp. Several hundred people from different ECV churches in the area attended. Quang and Nhu Y will also be going to Saigon this month to attend a 3 day session to learn the curriculum to be used at our VBS Camp. Both will be teaching some of the classes at our VBS Camp this summer at the Binh Chau church.
VBS CAMP 2026 SCHEDULED
Our 18th annual VBS Camp is scheduled now for June 22-25th. We already have 35 children signed up to attend this summer. Most of these children are the ones who attend our Children’s Church on a weekly basis. If you sponsored these same children last year, you will be receiving an email from us asking if you would like to sponsor your child again this year. After we receive your responses, we will announce any children still in need of a sponsor. Last year we had 90 children in attendance with 36 professions of faith. Please join us in praying God will draw many non-believers to attend this year, open up their hearts to understand the Gospel, and pray to ask Jesus into their heart.
PRAYER REQUESTS
Our transition to ECV is going smoothly with the only change being their providing a pastor. Please pray God will grant us wisdom and discernment this summer as we take the next steps in this transition.
Please continue to pray God will provide a missionary/missionary couple to move to Tanh Linh to disciple the many new believers there (over 120 in the last 3 years through our VBS Camps and Christmas Outreaches).
Our youth on Sunday afternoons and our adults on Thursday afternoons continue to go out into the community in hopes to share the Gospel. Please pray God will give them many Divine appointments to tell people about Jesus.
We have purchased our tickets and will be returning to Vietnam on May 12. Please pray the Holy Spirit will lead us to accomplish all the Father wants us to this trip according to His perfect will and timing all for His glory.

Jesus in Vietnam Ministries, is a compassion ministry founded by Dennis and Mai Spencer. Vietnamese families suffer from deprivation, lacking sometimes even the necessities of life. In obedience to the many Scriptural commands to help the poor they are enabling families to survive in difficult circumstances. When shown mercy these families are very receptive to the Gospel. The Spencer’s also focus on children, who are the future church of Jesus Christ in Vietnam.
