HOLY WEEK IN BINH CHAU
The Binh Chau Church had a full week of reflection, remembrance, and celebration of Jesus’ sacrifice for us and His victory over sin and death in our lives. Palm Sunday Worship Service began with some of our youth carrying palm branches down the aisle followed by an encouraging message from Pastor Tu. We also had a Maundy Thursday Service, a Good Friday Service, and a very joyful filled Easter Service. We were blessed to be lead in worship during each service by our youth choirs (middle school/high school and then our little ones under 7 years old). This was a special time for everyone in the congregation to strengthen their faith and connect more closely with God through prayer, worship, and reflection on how deep our Heavenly Father and Savior’s love was, and is, for us. After Easter Sunday Worship, everyone enjoyed a fellowship meal at the church cooked by Loan, our housemother for our orphanage/love house.
VBS CAMP 2025 SPONSORS NEEDED
We thank each of you who responded to sponsor a child/children this year to attend our VBS Camp. As of now we have 36 children sponsored for VBS Camp with 26 of those also sponsored for the 2025/26 school year. Praise the Lord! This leaves us with 26 children who need VBS Camp sponsors ($75 each) and 6 children who need both VBS Camp and school sponsorship ($275 and this total also includes a birthday and Christmas gift for your sponsored child). Our newsletter is the only outlet this year to find sponsors for these precious children. 22 children still needing sponsors are non-believers and this will be their very first VBS Camp. We ask you to please prayerfully consider sponsoring one or more of these precious children to experience the love of Jesus at VBS Camp and/or the opportunity to attend school for the 2025/26 school year. PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray God’s protection on each child signed up to attend our VBS Camp this summer from attacks of the enemy, provide the many adult volunteers needed to serve the children, and every child attending will experience the love of Jesus to make this a successful VBS Camp.
Please pray for Viet and Quang (our 2 deacons) and Nhu Y (Quang’s wife) as these young people will be teaching classes for the first time at our VBS Camp this summer.
We will be starting construction of our 2nd orphanage/love house right after our VBS Camp ends this summer. Please pray God will give us wisdom in our planning and favor where needed for this important and much needed project.
Please pray God will open the door for the vision He has given us to plant old time missionaries in towns in Vietnam without a Christian church, starting possibly with Tanh Linh. It’s been 2 ½ years since our first outreach to this native Vietnamese (Montagnard) village in Tanh Linh. Since then, many from there have attended our VBS Camps and Christmas Outreaches at the Binh Chau Church with 90 asking Jesus into their heart. To God be the Glory!
We have a very mature Christian lady attending the Binh Chau Church who lives in Suoi Bang. Please pray God will open her heart to inviting the church to hold weekly Bible studies in her home.
Please pray God will raise up a person/couple for us to mentor/train about our ministry to Vietnam.
Please pray for travel mercies for us as we will be leaving for Vietnam on May 13. Please pray God will grant us wisdom, guidance, and strength to accomplish all He has for us to do all for His glory.

Jesus in Vietnam Ministries, is a compassion ministry founded by Dennis and Mai Spencer. Vietnamese families suffer from deprivation, lacking sometimes even the necessities of life. In obedience to the many Scriptural commands to help the poor they are enabling families to survive in difficult circumstances. When shown mercy these families are very receptive to the Gospel. The Spencer’s also focus on children, who are the future church of Jesus Christ in Vietnam.
