RESURRECTION DAY

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
1 Peter 1:3

The Binh Chau Church gathered together on Easter Sunday to celebrate our risen Savior Jesus Christ. We praise God as 67 people were in attendance. Our youth choir led them in worship and the adult and little one’s choir sang also. Plus, 2 members of the congregation sang solos. Pastor Tu then gave and encouraging message of the hope and joy we have through life in our risen Savior Jesus Christ. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a fellowship meal prepared by some of the ladies in the church. God also blessed us with 41 children at our Children’s Church on Saturday night. They too heard the Easter message of God’s love and mercy for them through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus where He offers forgiveness of our sin and restores us through grace so we can experience all eternity with Him.

VBS CAMP SPONSORS NEEDED

Thank you Lord for answered prayer! We asked you in our last newsletter to join us in praying God would give us 70 children signing up for our VBS Camp this summer. At the time of that newsletter we had 41 signed up. We currently have 74 children signed up to attend. God is so good! We now have sponsors for 36 of the children, including 29 of these children sponsored for the new school year starting in August also. This leaves us with 38 children still needing sponsors for our summer VBS Camp ($75) with 3 of those children also qualifying for our school program (additional $200). Even though our VBS Camp is still 2 months away, we would love to have every child sponsored before we leave for Vietnam on May 13. Since we are only seeking sponsors through our newsletter, we need your help please for this to happen. We ask you to prayerfully consider sponsoring one or two of these precious children to attend our VBS Camp where they will be shown and shared the love of Jesus over 4 days.

If God puts it in your heart to be a sponsor, please mail your check to our home address or JIV Ministries, P.O. Box 54, Cortaro, AZ 85652. You can also donate online through our website jesusinvietnam.com.

Thank you in advance for helping us reach these children for Jesus.

PRAYER REQUESTS

We currently have 74 children signed up to attend our VBS Camp to be held on June 17-20. Please pray God will provide a sponsor for each child, the many adult volunteers needed, and every child attending shown and shared the love of Jesus to make this a successful VBS Camp Please pray God will draw the many non-believers signed up to attend our VBS to Him, give them understanding of the Gospel, and open the eyes of their heart to ask Jesus to be their Lord and Savior.

We are so excited to have 21 children signed up to attend our VBS Camp from the Montagnard village of Tanh Linh. This is new ground for us. Please pray for God’s protection on their families and He will give them the strength to stand firm against any persecution that the enemy might use to discourage them from attending.

We have purchased our tickets and will be returning to Vietnam on May 13. We have made our plans, but we ask for prayer that God will guide our steps by giving us wisdom, guidance, favor, and strength to accomplish all He has planned for us on this trip. May His name be glorified in all we do in the precious name of Jesus.

We praise God and thank each of you who have given to our building fund to build a 2nd orphanage/love house to be able to separate the boys from the girls as many are entering their teenage years. Plus, this will give us the room to take in many more children. Please pray God will provide the remaining funds needed so we might start construction after our VBS Camp this summer.

Please pray God will lead us to the right land attorney in Vietnam this summer to advise us on how to add 2 more people to the church property deed.

Please pray God will bring a person to Binh Chau with plumbing skills to resolve our ongoing water issues.

Please pray God will open the door for us to publish Mai’s Eternal Way Gospel message on our next trip to Vietnam by providing someone in Vietnam to edit her presentation in Vietnamese.

“How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you.” 1 Thessalonians 3:9

About This Site

Jesus in Vietnam Ministries, is a compassion ministry founded by Dennis and Mai Spencer. Vietnamese families suffer from deprivation, lacking sometimes even the necessities of life. In obedience to the many Scriptural commands to help the poor they are enabling families to survive in difficult circumstances. When shown mercy these families are very receptive to the Gospel.
