A DIVINE APPOINTMENT

We thank you for all your prayers concerning our water issues on the church property in Binh Chau these last few months. We are so excited to share with you that our Heavenly Father answered them in a way that only He can receive all the praise, honor, and glory. A couple of years ago, we met a missionary couple from Puerto Rico, who live in Dalat in central Vietnam. They brought a short term missions team from Puerto Rico earlier in the summer to see the church and interact with the children in our orphanage/love house. The week before we left to return to Tucson, Sonia and Efraim called to see if they could bring 2 different mission teams to visit the children. Because of the short notice, we could only accommodate one of them. Sonia and Efraim brought a team of 12 to Binh Chau. They wanted to interact with the children on Tuesday night, stay over, and leave the next morning after breakfast. As the missions team was teaching the kids a Christian song in Spanish, I was talking with Efraim. He pointed to some of the men and said those guys are great. They built a house in just 3 days as they work in construction back in Puerto Rico. I looked at Efraim and said “Do they know anything about water?” Efraim said yes. In fact, one of them installs water systems! When it was time for the kids to get ready for bed (school the next day), we took our phone lights and went to look at our water system. I explained how it works as it was explained to me. The guys checked it out in the dark and said they were sure they could fix it. The next morning after more questions and research, they went and bought additional supplies (piping, valves, etc.) and worked on it for about 2 ½ hours. When they turned the system back on it took only 3 hours to fill the tanks (before it took over 12 hours). We have had plenty of water for the orphanage/love house since. What an Awesome God we serve! We had been praying for God to bring someone to Binh Chau that knew about water systems to solve our problem. God brings a missions team all the way from Puerto Rico and then has us choose the right team out of the 2 teams that wanted to visit. He then arranged Efraim and I to have a conversation where he mentioned they were construction men and gave me the opportunity to share about our water issues. Only a sovereign, living, loving, gracious God could do that. What a joyous time of praise, prayer, and worship followed that morning. Please rejoice with us as we give God all the glory!

MERCY MINISTRY

Dung, Christmas, and Viet send their sincere appreciation for all the love shown to them by all of you that prayed for them in the loss of their beloved husband/father. They also send their thanks for those who gave financially to help them with the unexpected expenses they faced. Dung was able to pay off all the hospital bills, funeral expenses, burial plot, and still have a good amount of cash to help them going forward. God has used you to comfort them in their time of need.

A FAITHFUL SERVANT

Mr Ba Phuoc is an elder in the Binh Chau Church and has faithfully served for years on our witnessing/visiting teams that go out each week. He also volunteers in keeping the church property clean, including cleaning the restrooms during each of our VBS’s. His old motorcycle was on its last legs and the church blessed him with a new motorcycle (picture above).

THE YOUNGER TEACH THE OLDER

Little 3 year old Thanh Tin loves to pray, but his older sister Nhu Y (4 ½) is hesitant to pray out loud. One evening after our Bible study with the children in our orphanage/love house, we mentioned to Thanh Tin he should teach his older sister how to pray. Thanh Tin placed his hands on Nhu Y (picture above) and prayed for God to open her mouth to pray. How precious, precious was that moment!

PRAYER REQUESTS

Please pray God will draw many to our 2 Christmas Evangelistic Outreaches to hear the true meaning of Christmas and give them understanding that He is the one, true living God and their need for a Savior.

Please pray God will bring many to ask Jesus into their heart at our Christmas Outreaches.

Please pray God will give Pastor Liem favor with the congregation and use him to strengthen their walk with the Lord.

Please pray God will give our witnessing/visiting teams many Divine appointments to share Jesus.

Please pray God will raise up a Youth Pastor to help lead/mentor/train our youth leaders.

“How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you.” 1 Thessalonians 3:9

We pray God will bless each of you with a very Merry Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus.
