FRUIT OF VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
“So is my word that goes out from my mouth; it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11
WITNESSING FOR CHRIST
This last month the church has really renewed their focus on home visits. We are trying to get more of the congregation involved in home visits. The congregation has been asked to talk to their family members, friends, and neighbors to see which of them would be receptive to a visit by one of the Witnessing Teams that go out every Friday and Saturday (picture below right). God has rewarded
their obedience and 13 people have prayed to receive Christ during this time.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY
In trying to gain residency in Binh Chau, one of the questions Caesar asked Elder Nhan was what denomination did he come from? Elder Nhan recently traveled to Saigon to meet with Pastor Khai. Pastor Khai offered Elder Nhan words of encouragement and stated he would help him with this situation. Elder Nhan invited Pastor Khai to come and teach at the Binh Chau church once in awhile and Pastor Khai agreed to do so.
Lower right picture shows Hoai and Viet at their first day of school. In God’s sovereignty, He gave them both a bike at the recent VBS so they could ride to school.
PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray that God would grant Elder Nhanwisdom and discernment to oversee the
Binh Chau church.
Please pray that God will give the entire
congregation a hunger and thirst to read
and study His Word.
Please pray that God’s protection will be on
the recent ones who have professed Jesus as
their Lord and Savior.
Please pray that God will raise up more
laymen in the Binh Chau church to help
Elder Nhan and Kim.
Please pray that God will provide in His
timing a pastor for the Binh Chau church,
whether it would be Elder Nhan or someone
else.
PRAISE REPORTS
For the 13 people who were recently baptized
at the Binh Chau church.
For the administrative and organizational
skills Elder Nhan has exhibited while
overseeing the church.
MATURING IN CHRIST
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” Ephesians 6:18
Mai taught the women in the church on the importance of prayer while she was in Binh Chau this summer. Plus, we have been working with the church leadership to instill in the congregation the importance of an effective prayer life and the blessings that come along with it. With great joy we have witnessed the people attending the Thursday night Prayer Meeting maturing in their walk with the Lord. Where people first came to only sit and hear the leadership pray, we now see everyone willing to pray for the needs of the church and their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Upon arriving each person is given a print out of prayer requests from the congregation. Then as prayer starts, one person after another as led by the Holy Spirit will pray for one of the requests. Even people who have never been willing to pray out loud before are now openly praying. We thank God for opening their hearts to be obedient to His word. The above center picture shows Elder Nhan praying for the needs of one of the church families.
