VISITING AT THONG AND MUNG’S HOUSE

ENTERTAINING STRANGERS
Some of you may remember about 4-5 years ago a teenage boy, Hien, suffered a serious head injury when he was in a coffee shop where a fight broke out. Through your prayers and generous donations, the ministry was able to pay for Hien’s brain surgery and God completely healed him. We recently visited Hien’s parents (picture above), Thong and Mung. Mung shared this story with us: A few months ago she was cooking with her 2 sisters in her back yard when a stranger appeared to them. He asked if he could have a drink of water. As Mung gave him one he said it looks like you are in pain. Mung said she was suffering from arthritis in both her shoulders. The man poked her skin, looked at the color of her blood, and sold her some medicine to take for 20 days. After 20 days, Mung was completely healed. They have tried to find the man since, but no one knows him or has seen him since. Coincidence? We think not!
“Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.” Heb. 13:2

TRAINING TEACHERS FOR VBS

VBS PREPARATIONS ONGOING
We now have 169 kids preregistered for this year’s VBS on June 9-11th. Thank you Jesus! And, thank all of you who sponsored a child/children and/or are praying for the VBS. We are bringing 5 people from Saigon to help teach at VBS (along with 14 from the Binh Chau Church). The picture above shows Lan (from her ministry in Saigon) teaching the lessons plans to those serving from Binh Chau.

SUOI BANG NEWS
We praise God for the continued growth of His work in Suoi Bang as more families have accepted Jesus. We have had 9 baptisms this month with most of those new Christians from Suoi Bang. We currently meet in Suoi Bang (Binh Chau province) at Mr./Mrs. Ba Quang’s and this week Trong Tam petitioned for the church to meet at his house in Suoi Bang (Tan Thang province). This is a large farming community and actually stretches out into 4 different provinces. Please pray God will use us to plant house churches in each of these provinces. Since the enemy hasn’t been successful in disrupting God’s work in Suoi Bang from outside the church, he has turned his focus on some of the brothers inside the church. We met with some and resolved some misunderstandings this week. Please pray God will give us wisdom and the guidance of the Holy Spirit as we meet with more of the families next week. Please pray for a spirit of unity and love for each other.

MAI SHARING THE GOSPEL

FOCUSED ON THE GOSPEL
God has given Mai many, many divine appointments to share the Gospel using her “Eternal Way” pamphlet. Using pictures she explains who God is, the 6 days of Creation, the Fall of Man, the need of a Savior, and Jesus’ work on the Cross. The picture above shows Mai sharing with the kids from the Teo Neo hamlet at last Saturday’s Children Church. This group of kids can be a little on the rowdy side, but Mai prayed for them, and they all were very attentive to hearing the Gospel.

ATTENDING NEIGHBOR’S BIRTHDAY PARTY

ANOTHER ANSWER TO PRAYER
We have focused on showing the love of Jesus to the non-believing neighbors (who in past years had really persecuted the church) across the street from the church these last 3 years. Last year they invited us to one of their granddaughter’s 1 year-old birthday party. This week (picture above) they invited us to another granddaughter’s 1 year-old birthday party. The 2 ladies seated on both sides of us work for the local religious matters office. They were all very friendly towards us. We thank God for softening their hearts. Please pray God will give the grandmother understanding that He is the one true living God and belief in His Son. We believe, if the grandmother confesses Jesus as her Lord and Savior, many other family members would also, as the grandmother has a heavy control over their livelihood.

PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray God will use this year’s VBS to bring many of the non-believing children to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and start attending Children’s Church.

Please pray God will give us favor to have the petition approved to meet at Trong Tam’s house in Suoi Bang.

Please pray God will open the door, through a couple we met this week in Saigon who have many connections with orphanages, to start sending us children for our Love House.

PRAISE REPORT
We had 35 people join us this week for a 22-hour session of prayer and fasting. We felt the presence of the Holy Spirit and all who attended were blessed.

We have a daughter (Mong Cam – 30 years old) of one of the Binh Chau church members who came to visit her mother. Mong Cam has been a strong Christian for 3 years, and like Mai, talks about Jesus and all God has done for her to everybody all the time. Mong Cam loves the church and everyone loves her enthusiasm for Christ. She now wants to stay in Binh Chau. Please pray God will provide a job for her and use her to serve in the church.
