A PACKED CHURCH FOR THE CHRISTMAS OUTREACH

CHRISTMAS OUTREACH 2014
God answered our prayers and blessed us with yet another glorious Christmas Evangelistic Outreach at the Binh Chau Church. He gave us a beautiful evening (which was needed as many had to stay outside to watch/listen) and everyone who entered the church property experienced the love of Jesus shown to them by the church congregation. In 2008 at our first Christmas Outreach we had about 60 people in attendance and this year we had approximately 300 attend (similar to last year). The picture to the left shows those who were able to get a seat inside the church were very attentive as they listened to the different choirs sing (one pictured below), the youth perform the Christmas Story, and most importantly, Elder Nhan preach a message of the true meaning of Christmas. We had many non-believers attend, including 5 local government officials. We give God all the praise and glory for giving us such a wonderful opportunity to share the Gospel with so many.

“I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever.” Psalm 86:1

ONE OF THE CHOIRS AT THE CHRISTMAS OUTREACH

After the events inside the church were completed everyone moved outside for a fellowship meal. Church members sat at tables with non-believers to discuss and answer any questions concerning the outreach or the church. Lam and some of the ladies in the church had prepared a delicious meal to serve (picture below). They had prepared 270 meals, but were short and needed to prepare 30-40 more in order to feed all who attended. The local government officials all stayed and ate, which is highly unusual for them to do at a religious event. Cam On Chua (Thank You Lord)! They, and others, may come to the Christmas Outreach for different reasons, but all go away with hearing about and experiencing the love of Jesus.

We thank all of you who gave financially for Christmas gifts to be given to all the children in attendance. Each child received a gift of candy, cookies, school supplies, a small toy, and 3 Gospel tracts. Plus, each of the kids that attend Children’s Church was given a gift later in the week at Children’s Church. They also received a set of clothes as part of their Christmas gift. We thank God, as we were able to give over 180 kids gifts this Christmas. Thank you for all your prayers and generous contributions that allowed us to show these precious children how much they are loved by Jesus (and all of us). God is using you to make such a difference in so many lives.

MORE CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS
We had a large number of families that expressed a desire to attend the Christmas Outreach from Suoi Bang and Tan Thang. We rented two large buses to bring people to the Binh Chau Church from those towns. Ha, who attends the Binh Chau Church and lives in the Suoi Bang/Tan Thang area paid for the rental of one of the buses and we paid for the other. We used the van to pick up families in Binh Chau who didn’t have transportation. The number of families who attended from Suoi Bang and Tan Thang really confirmed our need to find a Vietnamese missionary family to live and evangelize in that area. They all seem to be so humble and open to hearing the Gospel.

Since the Christmas Outreach the Binh Chau Church EE and visitation teams have been visiting the non-believing families that attended. Two families from Suoi Bang have started attending the Binh Chau Church so far, even though they live further away than most of the members who come from that area. We are able to send the van to pick them up without much more expense. The desire and goal of the church leadership is to visit every family that came to the outreach.

We were also able to provide several families in the Binh Chau church with Christmas mercy food boxes due to your generous donations. To God be the glory!

PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray God will draw the non-believing families who attended the Christmas Evangelistic Outreach to Him, give them a desire to know more about Jesus, and get them connected to the church.

Please pray God will fill the orphanage with His children and provide a house mother/parents for the children.

Please pray God will provide a Vietnamese missionary family for Suoi Bang.

Please pray God will grant the Binh Chau leadership and us wisdom and discernment in all decisions to be made concerning God’s work in 2015.

PRAISE REPORT
Looking back on 2014 we stand in awe of all the blessings God has given us concerning the church in Binh Chau. We thank Him for allowing us to be a small part of His work in Vietnam. Our Lord can do all of this Himself, but He gives all of us the privilege of showing the love of Jesus to His precious children there. We thank God for raising up so many of you who faithfully pray, encourage, love, and support us to be His instruments to bring the saving grace of the Gospel to so many.
