With most of the high school youth now serving as AWANA leaders on Saturday night, we moved their Bible study to Sunday morning after Worship Service. After the service, the high school students stay and hold their Bible study. Then they are joined by some of the middle school kids for lunch in the church’s kitchen (they cook the meal themselves). In the afternoon they have an EE class and then go out as a group to share the Gospel. We purchased 50 small E-Cards that share the EE presentation of the Gospel in picture form. Each student takes one and looks for an opportunity to share with another child as Thanh is doing in the picture above. Sometimes as they see a group of kids they will just stop and each one will meet with a child or two to share about Jesus (picture below). The youth are excited about the many divine appointments God has given them to share the Gospel and lead kids in prayer to ask Jesus into their heart.
“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.” Romans 10:15 CHRISTMAS MERCY BOXES
We thank God for each of you who have prayed for and generously given support for the Christmas Outreach to be held at the Binh Chau Church on Christmas Eve. Part of the Christmas Outreach is to show needy families (like Mr. Ba Sang pictured above) the love of Jesus by providing for them a Christmas Mercy Box. These boxes contain rice, noodle soup, eggs, sugar, fish oil, soy sauce, and cooking oil. We were able to give out boxes to 14 families this year in Binh Chau, Suoi Bang, and Tan Thang.
ENEMY ATTACK
God has blessed us with many new families in Suoi Bang coming to the Lord this year. Recently, 2 government men in charge of that hamlet have been visiting families spreading lies about the Christian church, such as they will force you to take your idols down, tell you not to remember/worship your ancestors, etc. This has brought about confusion and some families have stopped coming to church. We asked the church elders to go visit these families to answer any questions they may have by using God’s Word. We asked them to also visit these 2 men to help clear up any misconceptions they might have about Christians. We also asked them to invite these 2 men to the Christmas Outreach in Binh Chau on Christmas Eve.
Back in March of this year we shared with you that Mr. and Mrs. Ba Quang’s son (Duc) and daughter-in-law (Hien) came to visit them in Suoi Bang from Saigon. They attended the house church meeting in Mr. and Mrs. Ba Quang’s house and afterwards God gave Elder Nhan the opportunity to share the Gospel with them. Both prayed to receive Jesus. About a week later Elder Nhan and Mr. Ba Quang went to visit Duc and Hien at their house in Saigon where they saw it filled with idols/altars. Elder Nhan asked Duc and Hien if he could share with them what God says about idols in the Bible. They agreed and God gave them understanding of His Word. They asked Elder Nhan to take town the idols for them, but Elder Nhan explained that they were the only ones who could take them down (knowing if the church helped take them down it could be used against them later by the government). Duc then removed all the idols from their house. Recently Elder Nhan and his family were in Saigon and stopped by to visit with Duc and Hien. What joy to discover that a weekly Bible study was taking place in their home (picture above). We give God the glory for touching Duc and Hien’s heart to open their home to the study of His Word. We are also reminded that if we are obedient to sharing the Gospel with those He brings into our lives, the scope of God’s blessings is immeasurable.
PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray God will silence the 2 men speaking against the church in Suoi Bang, bring them to the Christmas Outreach, and reveal the truth of the Gospel to both of them.
Please pray God will give elders of the church favor with these families that are now confused about asking Jesus into their hearts and open their eyes and hearts to His truth to bring them back to the church.
Please pray God will use the Christmas Outreach to draw many non-believers to the church where they will hear and be given understanding of the true meaning of Christmas.
Please pray God will work out all the details, including the funds needed, so we can begin construction of the new building next year for additional classrooms and to meet the needs of the many hurting kids (Orphans).
CAM ON CHUA (THANK YOU LORD)!
We thank God for the many blessings He has given us this year through your prayers and financial support of Jesus in Vietnam Ministries. May God give you and your family a very joyous Christmas season and many blessings in the coming new year.
