AWANA NOW IN BINH CHAU
As a reminder we sent Kim and Minh Anh to a week of AWANA training the first week in August.

Now after a few weeks of organizing, getting the needed volunteers, and training the team leaders, AWANA is now in full swing in the Binh Chau church. We took our very successful Children’s Church format and incorporated AWANA into it. We are using the AWANA program, but kept in place our extended group worship/prayer time of 45 minutes. The kids really love it, especially the games (picture to the left). God gave us such a great blessing in selecting Minh Anh (picture above) to lead AWANA. She is full of energy and has such a sweet personality. Plus, most importantly, she loves the Lord. Since most of the volunteers came from our high school group, we moved the High School Bible Study from Saturday night to Sunday morning after Worship Service. Then they eat lunch and some go out on EE visits on Sunday afternoon. We are very excited that we are averaging around 70-75 kids on Saturday night, even though school is back in session and we have had a lot of rain. GOD IS GOOD!!

PRAYER-PRAYER-PRAYER
One of the blessings we had this summer was to teach the Middle School Bible Study at Children’s Church (picture below). We taught one Saturday on putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). We ended by telling them what Billy Graham once said about the 3 most effective things we can do in serving God—prayer, prayer, prayer. As we finished the story about 3or 4 of the kids shouted Mot (one) Cau Nguyen (prayer), Hai (two) Cau Nguyen (prayer), Ba (three) Cau Nguyen (prayer)—Cau Nguyen-Cau Nguyen-Cau Nguyen! We then stood and asked any child to pray as led by the Holy Spirit.

We were delighted when child after child prayed such wonderful prayers long after all the other classes had ended. It was one of those moments of encouragement God gives us from time to time that reinforces we are on the right track. We thank God for the privilege of serving Him here as He raises up a new generation with a strong, deep foundation of His Word and eagerness to tell others of His love and mercy through His Son, Jesus Christ. We thank each of you who so faithfully pray and financially support our ministry. God is using you to make such a difference in these precious kids lives ALL FOR HIS GLORY!

SCHOOL REGISTRATIONS
We praise God as we now have 68 children from the Binh Chau church (including those from Tan Thang and Suoi Bang) attending school. We thank each of you who are sponsoring a child for giving them an opportunity for an education. Most, if not all, would not be able to attend school without your help. Each child (and their parents) truly appreciate the love of Jesus you are showing them and wanted us to tell you that they pray for you and your family also.

WOMEN’S CONFERENCE
Last month the women held their quarterly Women’s Conference at the Binh Chau church. 17 women (picture below) attended and

had a great time fellowshipping and studying God’s Word together. The women in the church have told us they really enjoy this program and look forward to the time they get to spend together learning how to be better wives, mothers, and God’s servants through His Word.

CHRISTMAS OUTREACH
Preparations are already underway for the Christmas Evangelistic Outreach. Choirs are rehearsing and this year our youth will put on their own program. Please pray that God will fill His church this Christmas season with many non-believers who will hear, understand, and believe in God’s plan of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.

PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray that God will grant us favor with the officials in accepting our new
petition to construct another building to serve the needs of the children (Orp……) and He would provide the funds to build it.

Please pray for the safety of each child being picked up each week and that God would provide the funds for a van to be purchased.

Please pray that God will raise up a pastor for the Binh Chau church.

PRAISE REPORT
We praise God as the officials have approved all our petitions (at the local and province level) to legally gather as a house church at Thao and Hang’s house in Tan Thang. We are so excited as this will be the very first Christian church in Tan Thang. We are also meeting weekly in Suoi Bang. Please pray that God will grant us favor with the officials there, as He did in Tan Thang, in approving all our petitions for a house church in Suoi Bang. This would also be the only Christian church in Suoi Bang. Please pray that these 2 villages will be the first of many around Binh Chau where God will use us to establish His church.
