PRAISE THE LORD!

PRECIOUS SOULS COMING TO JESUS

Every year during VBS God opens the door for us to serve in many ways at the Binh Chau church. We prayed this year, as we do every year, that we remain focused on our main purpose: to share Jesus with those God brings to us. We prayed that every person (children and adults) that would come to the church for VBS would hear the Gospel, understand God’s plan of salvation, and ask Jesus to come into their heart. On the third day of VBS Elder Nhan gave an altar call for his class of non-believers (HB’s) and children that had prayed to receive Jesus before, but do not attend church very often. Our hearts jumped with joy as 25 non-believing children came forward to ask Jesus to come into their heart as their personal Lord and Savior (picture above). Plus, 9 believers came forward to re-dedicate their lives to Jesus. During the 3 days of VBS Mai was also able to share the Gospel with 8 adults and 4 prayed to receive Jesus. We give God all the glory for answering our prayers. We thank each of you who have prayed and supported our ministry. God is using you to impact lives for all eternity for His glory.

MORE VBS PRAISE

LADIES PREPARING A VBS MEAL

We all (Binh Chau leadership and the Missions Team) agreed that this was the best VBS yet, not based numbers (attendance of 125), but because there was a deeper spirit of love and unity among all who served. Including the Missions Team, we had 40 adults who served at the VBS. It was such a joyful time working together showing the love of Jesus to all the precious children. We gave a special thank you to all the ladies who worked tirelessly in the kitchen preparing all the meals in very hot, humid conditions (picture above). They always seemed to have a smile on their faces and worked so well as a team. We could definitely see spiritual maturity in them.

Elder Nhan and Elder Tu did an excellent job planning/teaching the program that Mai developed many years ago called “The Eternal Way” to reach Vietnamese who have never heard of Jesus before; explaining who God is, the 6 days of creation, fall of man, the presence of time, the need for a Savior, and then presenting the Gospel through EE. Elder Tu put it all on power point and Elder Nhan (assisted by 4 of the youth leaders and Denny and Fay) taught it to the class of non-believers and kids that do not attend church very often. We praise God as He gave the kids spiritual understanding and opened their hearts to ask Jesus to come in as their Lord and Savior.

GOD’S MIRACLES
We can’t possibly tell you how much we felt covered by your prayers and all that God answered. It was very humbling to see our Almighty Father blessing us in all things, even the weather. It rained everyday the first week we were here. Then it stopped the day before VBS and all 3 days of VBS. Then it has rained everyday since (2 weeks now).
God gave us many opportunities to share; Denny and I (Dennis) were able to share with the middle/high school classes, Fay was able to share with the little one’s class, Cheree and Jordan were able to put on skits for all the classes, and God gave Mai daily opportunities to share the Gospel (even to one of those “special people” we have been praying for). Plus, we had the joy of worshipping many times with our brothers and sisters in Christ here.

VBS KIDS WITH THEIR NEW BIKES

Through your generous donations we were able to give away 44 bikes. We awarded 23 bikes for scripture memorization (picture above) with God distributing them amongst HB’s, youth leadership, Binh Chau, Suoi Bang, and Tan Thang kids. After VBS we gave away another 21 bikes to families in real need, and we made sure that every lady who served in the kitchen, at least 1 of their kids received a bike. In many of these families this bike is their only means of transportation. Kids can now bike to school instead of walking.

PRAYER REQUESTS

Please pray that God’s protection will be on the Binh Chau church and the Suoi Bang church plant.

Please pray that God’s protection will be on all who professed Jesus as Lord in their lives and He will give them a thirst and hunger to know Him more closely through getting connected to the church.

VBS KIDS EXPRESSING THEIR THANKS

We can’t even begin to share with you all the wonderful and amazing stories of God’s love and mercy for all His precious children (young and old) we have witnessed in our time here in one newsletter. We will be sending out some emails containing some of these blessed stories that truly show God is sovereign and answers prayer because He loves us so much. One example was when we discovered we were short of funds for Bibles, blankets, pillows, and mats and sent a prayer request to Dan and Nancy Lupo to send out. God touched many of your hearts, and not only met those needs, but provided more for future needs (which there always are). We thank each of you who pray and support our ministry that allows us to come here and share Jesus with His precious people. We are witnesses that God is using you to impact lives, one person/family, at a time for all eternity.
TO HIM BE THE GLORY!
