Mr. and Mrs. Ba Quang are so thankful for all God has done for them that they are very eager and bold to tell their neighbors and co-workers about God’s love and mercy. God always selects the right people and then equips them to do His work. This has certainly been the case with Mr. and Mrs. Ba Quang. Last Sunday we had 27 people at the Sunday Worship Service in Suoi Bang (14 from Suoi Bang and 13 from Binh Chau). This was our largest attendance to date. It was so crowded that half of them had to stay outside (picture above) the small (8’ x 10’) room used for the worship service. Mrs. Ba Quang usually buys/prepares enough food for 18-20 people. When 27 people showed up last week, she realized that she did not have enough food prepared. The problem was quickly resolved as each person scooped some from their bowl into extra bowls so all might enjoy the meal.
“All the believers were one in heart and mind.” Acts 4:32

PREPARING THE FELLOWSHIP MEAL

OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S WORD
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28: 19

NEW CHRISTIANS TO BE BAPTIZED

Several people, including entire families, have prayed to receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior recently. The picture above shows Elder Nhan preparing to baptize 12 of these new Christians in the Binh Chau church. 8 of these people are from Suoi Bang and the other 4 are from Binh Chau. We give God all the praise, honor, and glory for answering our prayers to enlarge our territory and see the fruits of our labor.

VBS UPDATE
Excitement is in the air in Binh Chau as we get closer to the start of our 6th annual VBS at the Binh Chau church. We have 153 kids signed up to attend and over 20 adult volunteers ready to serve. God continues to add to our numbers each year and this should be our largest turn out yet. Our team of 6 (Dennis & Fay Peceniak, Cherée, Jordan, Dennis & Mai) is anxiously awaiting the day (6/14) we arrive at the Binh Chau church and can see all the kids (and the adults) again. We thank each of you that sponsored a child or lift us up in prayer so these precious children can experience the love of Jesus (and we will hug each one for you).

WORKING FOR JESUS
We usually don’t take any space to speak about ourselves in our newsletter, but we wanted to share this praise report with you today. When we first became Christians 21 years ago and asked God to use us for His glory, we had no idea what God had in store for us. He first led us to a Vietnamese Baptist Church to begin our study of His Word. Then He moved us to Catalina Foothills Church here in Tucson where we sat under further teaching of His Word and were equipped by Pastor Mark to share the Gospel through Evangelism Explosion. Then we received guidance and encouragement from Pastor Paul and his wife, Dixie, from the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Floyd, Iowa. Then God opened the door for us to be His instruments to plant a church in Binh Chau and establish our ministry, Jesus in Vietnam. He has blessed us more than we deserve and now He has blessed us even more. Since 2004 we have traveled back to Vietnam to work with the church there. In some years Mai went 2 or 3 times, while I was limited to a few short weeks in the summer for VBS. On June 1st I was blessed to retire from my worldly job and start a new journey. We praise God that Mai and I can now work full time together for Jesus! We will be able to travel/work together more often in Vietnam. We thank God that He has given us the same heart, mind, and soul to serve Him together.

PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray that God will open the door and provide the funds for another building to be built on the church property to meet the physical and spiritual needs of so many hurting children.

Please pray that God’s protection will be on the Binh Chau church and the Suoi Bang church plant, especially on Mr. and Mrs. Ba Quang.

Please pray that God will bring all 153 children signed up to the VBS and draw each one of them closer to Him.

Please pray for God’s protection on everyone at the VBS and we will have no sickness or accidents.

Please pray for travel mercies for our team leaving Tucson on June 12th and arriving in Binh Chau on June 14th.

Please pray that God will give us wisdom and discernment in working with the Binh Chau church leadership to expand God’s kingdom for His glory.

Please pray that God will give Elder Nhan favor with Caesar to receive permanent residency in Binh Chau.

KINGDOM EXPANSION We praise God as He continues to build His church in Suoi Bang one family at a time.
