January 2011 Newsletter

ONE PERSON, ONE FAMILY, ONE TOWN

Last month a lady (Danh) came by Elder Nhan’s house seeking more understanding of what it means to be a Christian. Elder Nhan was able to share the Gospel and she prayed to receive Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Danh then wanted Elder Nhan to share this Good News of Jesus with her friend Lan, who lives in Cau Nuoc Mang (about 15 minutes away). Lan then prayed to receive Jesus

TAXI TO CHURCH

and told Elder Nhan she wanted him to share with friends, who live in Tan Thang (about 30 minutes from Binh Chau). When Elder Nhan arrived in Tan Thang he was greeted by 3 families with 9 children. After sharing the Gospel with them, they all prayed to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Thank you Jesus! The church rented a truck to go pick up the kids (picture to the left) from Tan Thang to take them to Children’s Church in Binh Chau. They were so excited. After Children’s Church, the kids spent the night at Elder Nhan’s house. They were then joined by their parents on Sunday and attended Worship Service together. The church then rented a van and took everyone back to Tan Thang. God is soooooo Good!!

THE GOSPEL GOES FORTH

In our November newsletter we introduced
you to Mr. Sau Cong from Suoi Bang and
asked you to pray that God would open the
door for a house church to be established in
his home. Praise God as He has answered all

DISCIPLESHIP CLASS

of our prayers! The picture to the right shows
Elder Nhan conducting a Discipleship class
in Mr. Sau Cong’s home for some of those
who prayed to receive Jesus last month. He
will hold these weekly and also train Mr. Sau
Cong to lead the house church there. They
have a total of 10 people to start (his family
and some of his neighbors). Elder Nhan has
also started Discipleship classes for the one
family in Cau Nuoc Mang. In addition, he
has sent Mr. Nhang and Kim to Tan Thang
to start Discipleship classes for the three
families living there. How great is our God!

“ And this Gospel of the kingdom will be
preached in the whole world as a testimony
to all nations, and then the end will come.”
Matthew 24:14

Nancy Lupo has long had a vision of the
church in Binh Chau as the “heart” with
vessels leading out to all the smaller towns
and hamlets, where the blood of Christ would
cover and save His precious people. We thank
God for giving us the privilege/blessing to
work together to further His kingdom.

CAM ON CHUA

God used this Christmas season to bring much joy, encouragement, and excitement to the church in Binh Chau.

BAPTISM

The church is now experiencing the fruit of the Christmas Evangelistic Outreaches. Last month 22 people prayed to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior and last Sunday (1-9) 28 people were baptized at the Binh Chau church (picture to left). These events have strengthened our brothers and sisters in Christ in the Binh Chau church and instilled a fire in them to share Jesus with others.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

We asked for and were told we would receive 200 boxes from Operation Christmas Child for the kids in the Binh Chau church and those non-believing kids who would come to the Christmas Outreach. We ended up receiving 45 boxes (picture below). This was not enough to give every child in the church a gift. However, God always provides. The church went to the homes of the kids

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD BOXES

that received the boxes and asked for the empty boxes back. They then went and purchased gifts to put back in the boxes to be given out to the rest of the children. Plus more boxes were bought and filled with gifts. So every child received a box.
We give thanks to Jehovah-Jireh (the Lord will provide).

About This Site

Jesus in Vietnam Ministries, is a compassion ministry founded by Dennis and Mai Spencer. Vietnamese families suffer from deprivation, lacking sometimes even the necessities of life. In obedience to the many Scriptural commands to help the poor they are enabling families to survive in difficult circumstances. When shown mercy these families are very receptive to the Gospel. The Spencer’s also focus on children, who are the future church of Jesus Christ in Vietnam. Watch The Video About Jesus In Vietnam Ministries Here
