GOD’S FAITHFULNESS

“Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved…you and your household.” Acts 16:31

We love sharing with you stories of God’s faithfulness and answer to prayers. Such is the case with Mrs. Muoi, whom God gave Mai the privilege of leading to the Lord 5 years ago. Mrs. Muoi immediately began praying for her family to come to know the joy and peace she was experiencing now as a child of God. When we left Binh Chau later that year to fly back to the USA, Mrs. Muoi traveled to Saigon with us as she wanted us to share the Gospel with one of her daughters there. On the way to Saigon she asked us to stop by her cousin’s house to share the Gospel with her. Her cousin had recently visited Mrs. Muoi in Suoi Bang and started asking her questions why she got up at 4 am to read her Bible. Her cousin lived deep in the jungle, and at times we didn’t know if our car was going to get there, but God directed our way as He had a divine appointment for us. Mai shared the Gospel and Mrs. Muoi’s cousin asked Jesus into her heart. We then went on to Saigon where we met Tuyen, on of Mrs. Muoi’s daughters. Mai shared the Gospel with Tuyen and she also asked Jesus into her heart. God’s answer to Mrs. Muoi’s prayers then and over the last 5 years have greatly encouraged and strengthened her faith. Last year the night before we were to fly home, Mrs. Muoi called to ask if she could bring her daughter, Tho, over to our hotel to meet us. God blessed us with another divine appointment as Tho asked Jesus into her heart that night. Since we were not able to return to Vietnam this year due to the virus, we have been having Bible studies with Mrs. Muoi via FaceTime or Viber. Mrs. Muoi asked us if we could also teach Tho about God’s Word, as she was in Saigon and not connected to a church. As we began our Bible studies with Tho, we all began praying for God to touch the heart of Tho’s husband, Thanh, and give him a desire to join us. Three weeks ago he did and God gave Mai the opportunity to share Jesus with him. We praise God as Thanh prayed to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior. God is so faithful! One family member who has not given his heart to the Lord (yet) is Mrs. Muoi’s husband, a local government official. Please pray that God will draw Mrs. Muoi’s husband to saving faith in Jesus, as He has been faithful in doing with her other family members.

GOD’S HEALING TOUCH

Tuyet was diagnosed with terminal cancer last year and was brought to the Binh Chau church by her sister for prayer. We not only had the privilege of praying for Tuyet, but also the blessing of leading her to Christ. She recently contacted the church praising God as He has healed her. To God be the glory! Tuyet lives in Vung Tau (about 40 miles from Binh Chau) and asked Pastor Tu if he could come there to baptize her (picture above).

CHRISTMAS OUTREACHES

Preparations continue for our 3 outreaches this year. The children have been having fun practicing (picture above) and the invitations have been sent out (people seem to respond better in Vietnam to a written invitation). Our church plant in Suoi Bang requested 40 invitations to send out to families in their community. Please pray God will use our Christmas Outreaches to bring many to saving faith in Jesus.

EVANGELISM TEAMS

Praise God as He has used Pastor Tu to bring added passion to share the Gospel to our witnessing teams, especially in Suoi Bang with Mr. Hien. They are learning from the families they visit that much false teaching is being spread around Suoi Bang. Please pray God will use our evangelism teams and church to spread the truth of God’s Word.

FUNDING SHORTFALL

We enter December about $12,000 behind in our budget. As you plan your year-end giving, we would ask that you prayerfully consider our/your ministry in helping us meet these needs after you have given to your local church.

PRAYER REQUESTS

There has been a rise recently in virus cases in Saigon. Please pray this will not result in restrictions that would have a negative impact people attending our Christmas Outreaches.

Please pray God will give Pastor Tu favor with the local authorities and they will officially approve him as pastor of the Binh Chau Church.

Please pray God will provide the funding for a more reliable van for the church and orphanage.

“How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you.” 1 Thessalonians 3:9

As you pray for God’s work in Vietnam and us, we pray God’s abundant blessings for you and your families and a very MERRY CHRISTMAS for you.
