BIBLE STUDY AT THE LOVE HOUSE

CHILDREN OF PROMISE
We praise God as He has given us 3 children to stay at our love house (Children of Promise). The picture above shows Mai leading a Bible study with Lan (in pink) and Viet (to her left) and his sister Yen (in green next to Mai). Lan has been staying here for the last few months while God brought Viet and Yen to us these last few weeks. The other 2 children in the picture are Be Ba (in light green) and Binh. They are both kids who live across the street from the church. God gave Mai the opportunity to share the Gospel with Be Ba and she prayed to receive Jesus. Then a couple of days later she brought Binh over and asked Mai to share about Jesus with him. Be Ba had told Binh she used to jump into bed at night and get completely under the covers because she would see ghosts, but since she asked Jesus into her heart, she doesn’t see the ghosts anymore. Mai shared the Gospel with Binh and he too asked Jesus into his heart. What an Awesome God we serve! Not only did He bring Be Ba to belief in Jesus, but He already has put it in her heart to witness His love and mercy to others. Cam On Chua (Thank You Lord)!

WOMEN’S MINISTRY GRADUATION CEREMONY

WOMEN’S MINISTRY
Two years ago some of the women in the Binh Chau Church asked if they could invite a ministry in Saigon to come once a quarter to Binh Chau for 3 days to teach the women and help develop leaders to serve in the Women’s Ministry at the church. We had 22 women sign up back then and 19 of them completed the program this month. The Binh Chau women thoroughly enjoyed the training /fellowship. Plus, we have 3 ladies who have now volunteered to serve and lead the Binh Chau Church Women’s Ministry (Kim, Phuc, and Nhung). The 5 ladies from Saigon, who took turns coming to teach the Binh Chau women over the last 2 years, all came to hold a graduation ceremony earlier this month. Plus, 3 pastors from their church in Saigon joined them. 15 of the 19 ladies who completed the program were able to attend and receive their certificates (picture top above). In addition, the husbands of 8 of the ladies attended and each couple renewed their marriage vows (picture below) one couple at a time. It was a blessing to be here and witness this special event. The next day the ministry from Saigon rented a bus for the Binh Chau ladies (and the husbands who could come) and they went to Vung Tau, an Oceanside resort city about 40 miles from Binh Chau. They spent the day fellowshipping on the beach and enjoying lunch at a restaurant by the ocean. The Binh Chau women will meet one Friday a month to continue their Bible studies going forward.

COUPLES WHO RENEWED THEIR MARRIAGE VOWS

DIVINE APPOINTMLENTS
God has blessed Mai with many divine appointments these last 3 months to add to His kingdom. We would like to share one of these stories with you. Lan, who has been staying at the love house the last few months, hadn’t seen or spoken to her mother in about 3 years. That’s when her mother left Lan’s father to return to her first husband. We were at the Binh Chau marketplace a few days ago and Mai spotted Lan’s mother selling fish there. Mai asked Lan (who was with us) to show her mother the love of Jesus by going to say hi to her. Even though it must have been difficult for Lan, she approached her mother and started a conversation. We joined them and spoke briefly with her also. Next to Lan’s mother was Lan’s aunt (Hang), who joined in the conversation and even helped us pick out some fresh fish at a good price. A couple of days later Hang showed up at the love house with Lan’s older sister (Thom) from her mother’s first marriage. Lan had a good visit with them and God gave Mai the opportunity to share the Gospel with both of them. The picture below shows Mai leading them in prayer asking Jesus into their heart. We don’t know what effect Lan’s simple act of kindness in reaching out to her mother with the love of Jesus had on her mother. However, we do know God used that gesture of love to soften the hearts of her sister and aunt and bring them both to saving faith in Jesus Christ. To God be the glory!

HANG AND THOM ACCEPTING JESUS

PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray God will give us wisdom and discernment as we seek His guidance in finding a youth pastor to serve at the Binh Chau Church to help Elder Nhan.

Please pray God will provide a Vietnamese missionary family to oversee the Suoi Bang church plant.

Please pray God will provide someone to oversee the Children of Promise as He fills it with His children.

Please pray for unity of heart, mind, and spirit among the brothers and sisters in Suoi Bang, especially for Mr. Ba Quang, who has been under the enemy’s attack.

Please pray God will raise up more people in the Binh Chau Church to teach Children’s Sunday School.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
As we prepare to return home we are reminded of God’s Word in 1 Thessa 3:9:

“How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?”

We thank you for your prayers and support that enables us to come here to show/share the love of Jesus with God’s children.
