CHRISTMAS OUTREACH FRUIT

“So is my Word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11

The purpose of the Christmas Outreach we hold each year at the Binh Chau Church is for church members to invite their non-Christian family, friends, and neighbors to hear the true meaning of Christmas with the prayer that God will reveal Himself to them through His Son Jesus Christ. We had so many people who wanted to come from Suoi Bang that we had to rent a full size bus to bring them to Binh Chau for the Christmas Outreach. In the few short weeks since our most recent Christmas Outreach, God has answered our prayers and given the Binh Chau Visitation/EE Teams several Divine appointments in Suoi Bang (picture above). The results being 3 new families from Suoi Bang connecting with the church and 10 people asking Jesus into their heart as their personal Lord and Savior. Cam On Chua! (Thank You Lord!)

We now have 14 families out of 180 families (7.8%) in Suoi Bang who have professed Jesus as Lord. We remind you that only about 1% of the population of Vietnam is Protestant Christians and that is why we are so excited about the possibilities for Suoi Bang. Every family we have met so far in this farming community has such humble hearts and is open to hearing the Gospel. We praise God that He has opened this door and given us favor with these families. Elder Nhan and Elder Truong go to Suoi Bang each week to hold Sunday Worship and Bible studies, but their work in Binh Chau limits their availability for Suoi Bang. Plus, the more activities they are involved in there, the more attention they will draw from Caesar (different officials than in Binh Chau). If we had a Vietnamese Missionary family living in Suoi Bang, we would be able to reach many more of the remaining unreached families there and do a better job of discipling the Christians already there too. Recently we were able to purchase a small plot of land (20 x 45 meters) in Suoi Bang in which to build a small house on for this purpose. God has also provided some funds to be used towards bringing a Vietnamese Missionary family to Suoi Bang, hopefully in the near future.

Please pray God will provide the right Vietnamese missionary family to move to Suoi Bang to show and share the love of Jesus with these precious families.

ORPHANAGE/LOVE HOUSE UPDATE

God has already provided 2 children, Thanh (10 years old) and Lan (12 years old) to live with Kim in the new building (picture above). These precious girls come from broken homes where single parents aren’t able to care for them. They are passed from one relative to another creating a very unstable and stressful situation for them. Kim says in the few weeks they have been staying with her you can see the joy of the Lord in them. They are both very appreciative and humbled by the love of Jesus they have been shown, resulting in each having such a servant’s heart. Kim and the 2 girls have moved into one of the bedrooms while the other 2 bedrooms and the all-purpose room is being used for some of the Children’s Church Bible studies (picture below).

PRAY FOR OUR YOUTH

Recently several of our teenage boys in the church have come under attack from the enemy in the way of hanging around with the wrong friends. Please pray for Khanh, Quang, Tien, Long, and Nghia.

We are in need of someone to play the keyboard at the Binh Chau Church. We have a person who might be willing to come to Binh Chau once a week for 3-4 months to give lessons to 4-5 of our youth. Please pray God will reveal to us, and to the youth, those who have the heart, desire, and talent to serve the church in this important area.

PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray God will continue to draw more of the non-believing families who attended the Christmas Evangelistic Outreach to Him, give them a desire to know more about Jesus, and get them connected to the church.

Please pray God will fill the orphanage with His children and provide a house mother/parents for the children.

Please pray God will strengthen and bless Kim as she sacrificially gives of her time and heart to care for the girls at the orphanage/love house.

PRAISE REPORT
Hang from Tan Thang was recently bitten in her home by a poisonous snake. Praise God as He protected her and she didn’t suffer any severe injury/illness.

BIRTHDAY OUTREACHES

We are revising a past program at Children’s Church. Each month the kids who attend Children’s Church that have birthdays in that month will be asked to invite up to 5 of their non-Christian friends to Children’s Church to help them celebrate their birthday. This will give their friends the opportunity to experience Children’s Church and hear the Gospel message.

About This Site

Jesus in Vietnam Ministries, is a compassion ministry founded by Dennis and Mai Spencer. Vietnamese families suffer from deprivation, lacking sometimes even the necessities of life. In obedience to the many Scriptural commands to help the poor they are enabling families to survive in difficult circumstances. When shown mercy these families are very receptive to the Gospel. The Spencer’s also focus on children, who are the future church of Jesus Christ in Vietnam. Watch The Video About Jesus In Vietnam Ministries Here
