PRAYING TO RECEIVE JESUS

PRAY FOR VIETNAM
A couple of weeks before we left Binh Chau a family of 4, Thang (husband), Chuong (wife), Tham and Tho (daughters) were visited by one of the EE visitation teams. God gave the team a divine appointment as all 4 family members asked Jesus into their heart. For the next 3 weeks this family attended Sunday Worship, Saturday Children’s church, and Wednesday night Bible Study. They were such sweet and humble people and very eager to learn more about the Lord. However, since then this family has stopped coming to church entirely. When the team went to visit again, Thang and Chuong said they stopped coming because their parents stated they would disown them if they became Christians. God has granted us much favor in Binh Chau, but this is a reminder only 1% of Vietnam is Protestant Christians. In many cases the most severe persecution comes from family members. Please pray God will intervene on behalf of this family and thousands of others facing similar persecution. “When a man’s ways are pleasing to the Lord, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.” Proverbs 16:7

CHRISTMAS STORY YOUTH PERFORMERS

YOUTH PRAISE REPORT
From the very beginning God put it in our heart to focus on the youth in Binh Chau. We prayed asking God to allow us to be a small part of Him raising up a new generation in Vietnam to love Him and boldly tell others about His love through His Son Jesus. Today, we are blessed to be known in Binh Chau as the “Children’s Church” with our focus on our youth in church and also having 76 of our youth sponsored for school by the church. Each time we go to Vietnam we are blessed to see all God is doing for the Binh Chau Church, but the one that brings us the most joy, next to seeing people come to Christ, is to see how God is working in the children’s hearts. To witness 75-90 kids worshipping together each Saturday, memorizing scripture, and serving in the church brings tears of joy to us. We now have 6 (and sometimes 7) classes each Saturday night at Children’s Church. Many of these kids are at the church for 5-6 hours every Saturday. We are especially thankful for our middle school and high school kids. God has drawn them close to Him and given many of them a servant’s heart. Some of these youths (pictured above) will be performing the Christmas Story at the Binh Chau Christmas Evangelistic Outreach this Christmas Eve. We thank God for touching each of your hearts to faithfully pray for and financially support “our” youth. We are first- hand witnesses God is using you to make such a difference in their lives all for God’s glory.

MERCY BOX FOR TRONG FAMILY

SHOWING THE LOVE OF JESUS
About 3 weeks ago the father (Trong) of one of the faithful youth (Giang) that attends Children’s Church was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. Trong suffered head injuries and numbness in his left arm/side. He is the only breadwinner in the house and may not be able to work for some time. The church recently delivered a mercy food box (picture above) to Trong and his family. We also committed to helping them monthly until he is able to return to work. Plus, the church took up a love offering to help Trong with medical costs. We thank you for your donations to our ministry that makes it possible to show the love of Jesus to families like Trong’s in their time of need.

WOMEN’S CONFERENCE GRADUATES

WOMEN’S CONFERENCE
17 ladies from the Binh Chau church (picture above) recently participated in a 3 day women’s conference. This is a quarterly event that started almost 2 years ago. A Women’s ministry from Saigon teaches the Binh Chau ladies on such topics as How to Become a Child of God, How to be a Woman Serving in the Church, How to be a Wife, and How to be a Mother. The ladies really look forward to this time of fellowship and learning to grow closer to God, to their families, and with each other. This is another door God has opened in response to your prayers and financial support of our ministry and God’s work in Vietnam. Thank you for being such a blessing to us all.

PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray God will use this year’s Christmas Evangelistic Outreach to draw many non-believers to the Binh Chau Church and give them understanding of His love and mercy for them through His Son Jesus.

Please pray God will fill the orphanage with His children and provide a house mother/parents for the children.

Please pray God will provide a Vietnamese missionary family for Suoi Bang.

Please pray God will grant us and the Binh Chau leadership wisdom and discernment in any and all decisions to be made concerning God’s work.

PRAISE REPORT
We thank God for all the wonderful blessings He gave us these last 6 months in Vietnam, to include the new well, the water filtration system, another successful VBS, the van for the church, the purchase of land in Suoi Bang for a house church, and the new building for the orphanage. Most of all we thank God for bringing more people into His kingdom and the growth we see in people’s walk with the Lord in the Binh Chau church, Suoi Bang, and Tan Thang. To God be the Glory!

About This Site

Jesus in Vietnam Ministries, is a compassion ministry founded by Dennis and Mai Spencer. Vietnamese families suffer from deprivation, lacking sometimes even the necessities of life. In obedience to the many Scriptural commands to help the poor they are enabling families to survive in difficult circumstances. When shown mercy these families are very receptive to the Gospel. The Spencer’s also focus on children, who are the future church of Jesus Christ in Vietnam. Watch The Video About Jesus In Vietnam Ministries Here
