NEW BUILDING FOR ORPHANAGE

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
In our September newsletter we stated we were moving ahead with the start of construction of the new building to be used as an orphanage. We were trusting in God to remove any obstacles Satan put before us. God answered our prayers and the new building is almost finished (picture above). The first 2 weeks of construction Caesar threatened to stop construction, but God never allowed them to do so. The last few weeks have gone smoothly even though Caesar did show up today to inspect the building. They wrote us a ticket fining us 2 million dong ($100 USD) for not petitioning to build (even though we were told beforehand they would not approve any petition). We are so thankful that our Sovereign Lord has the final say in all things. We still need the windows/doors installed, electrical completed, counter tops installed, bathroom fixtures installed, and some painting done. However, we are being told that should all be done by the end of next week. We thank all of you who have prayed for this building and given financially. “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” Psalm 150:6

MAI LEADING TUAN TO CHRIST

HOMELESS MAN TO CHRIST
Last month a homeless man walked onto the Binh Chau church property looking for food. Mai talked to the man and found out his name was Tuan and he was 49 years old. He was from the northern part of the country near Hanoi. He had come south looking for work, lost his ID, and had no way to get home. Mai gave Tuan a hot meal to eat and then God gave her the opportunity to share Jesus with him (picture above). Praise the Lord as Tuan prayed to ask Jesus into his heart as his personal Lord and Savior. We rented him a motel room for the next 3 nights ($6 a night), fed him at the church, and Tuan attended Bible studies and Sunday Worship with us. We then bought Tuan a bus ticket to return to his hometown so he could replace his ID card. We bought him a cheap cell phone ($10) so he could stay in contact with us. He later called us to say he had arrived home safely and had been enjoying time with his parents and friends. In fact, his parents wanted to talk to Mai and thank her for all the church at done for their son. They said he seemed like a new person. Tuan has since returned to Binh Chau and has been at all church Bible studies, prayer, and Worship services. We rented him a room for 3 months and Elder Nhan has committed to teaching him one on one discipleship classes during that time. Tuan is also looking for a job here in Binh Chau. This is yet one more example of how God is using your prayers to change one life at a time.

THANH, FIRST CHILD FOR THE ORPHANAGE

BUILD AND GOD WILL PROVIDE
As the new building was being built, Mai prayed asking God to give us our first child for the orphanage before we had to return home to Tucson. Mai was expecting God to open the door for a newborn baby. God answered Mai’s prayer, but in a different way. God’s first choice was a 12-year-old girl named Thanh (pictured above). Thanh comes from a broken home where her mother left due to an abusive husband. Vy, her mother, moved to Binh Chau about 3 years ago and started attending the Binh Chau church with Thanh and Thanh’s little brother, Hung. Last year Vy moved again and left Thanh in Binh Chau with her aunt. Being a Buddhist, her aunt would not let her attend church and Thanh fell away from the church for several months. Recently we were able to talk with Vy, who is now living in Saigon, about Thanh. Vy asked the church to take care of Thanh as she couldn’t provide for her. Thanh has been staying at the church with Kim for the last 3 weeks. Thanh is attending school and able to attend every church program. Mai and Kim are also giving her one on one Bible studies. Thanh is such a sweet girl who is in love with the Lord. Thanh stated she has never been happier than the time she has spent here at the church. Unfortunately, Binh Chau has many children in similar circumstances as Thanh was in. Children in need of the love of Jesus. We are so thankful God has provided this building to meet the needs of those children He gives us to care for.

PRAYER REQUESTS

Please pray God will use this orphanage for His purpose concerning the children He has already selected, whether they are newborn babies or come from broken homes like sweet Thanh.

Please pray God will give the adult and youth EE teams many divine appointments to share the Gospel.

Please pray God will raise up more people in the Binh Chau church to teach Bible studies and youth Sunday School.

PRAISE REPORT
The picture above shows Mr. Trung and his family from Suoi Bang. God revealed Himself to this family recently in such an amazing way. We don’t have enough room to share the details now, but we will put out a separate report. We know you will be blessed.

Praise God as He has answered another prayer. Elder Truong and his family have all been approved by local officials as temporary residents of Binh Chau.

Praise God as He has provided the funds to purchase a used larger generator to supply all the needs of the church, kitchen, and orphanage. Plus, to buy 100 King James Bibles in Vietnamese for the congregation.
